any thoughts on the differences between these subtests? I have a profile that i am confused by, since the Block Design and Picture Arrangement subtests are 13, while the Picture Completion and Matrix Reasoning are at 6??

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Block Design is quite a bit more abstract than Pic Completion and Matrix Reasoning. It is the best measure of g in the perceptual tests. PA measures sequencing and social awareness. MR measures reasoning by analogies, and is closely related to Math and number sense. It requires seeing relationship between two items, starting with a simple relationship such as big and small. Block Design, on the other hand, is purely geometric shapes and patterns, so more abstract.
