My Mother has taken this for more than 20 years now after being prescribed it by her Doctor when she felt depressed. For whatever reason, she has been left on it all this time and has tried a couple of times to stop it but with Nardil you have to be clear of it for 2 weeks before you can try anything else so she has been unable to make it longer than about 3 days, even when in hospital. The reason for trying to come off of it is because for the past 5 years or so, it appears to not be working, i.e. she is terribly depressed. In America, they state that since 2003 the tablet is made by another company and they have tested it and it is not as effective as the former tablet. Has anyone else had problems with long term use and it's effectiveness? Thanks
