Jenny, I am surprised no one answered the posting. I have been eating like this for years. It's finally come to my attention that it is not normal behavior. Gee what a surprise.
When I do internet searches bulimia and anorexia come up but the Binge Eating Disorder does not appear to be so prevalent or fashionable. My awareness is very young.
So far I have learned it's caused by emotions. Journaling about when it happens and what your perceptions are as to why you might do this is supposed to expose a pattern.
What have you learned? Can you control this or was a one time deal. I am definately a stress eater. When I went to weight watchers 2 years ago they had all these ideas but they were strange to me. One was only eat if you are hungry. Well I haven't been hungry for decades! |
